New Local Policing Officer For Cookley And Wolverley
Residents in the Cookley and Wolverley area of Wyre Forest have a new local policing officer on the beat.
PC Andy Wallace has taken over from PC Jayne Willetts as Local Police Officer for Cookley and Wolverley.
PC Wallace started his career with West Mercia Police 21 years ago when he was based in Kidderminster. After three years at Kidderminster he transferred to Droitwich, then moved two years later to a divisional traffic unit before joining the Force Operations department at Hindlip.
After more than 15 years of working on specialist units, PC Wallace decided to move into local policing.
He said: "This is a new and exciting role for me and I'm enjoying engaging with the local community."
PC Jayne Willetts has moved within the force to join the Response section in Wyre Forest.
She said: "I'm grateful for the support I received while working as a Local Policing Officer, but I'm also looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead for me in my new role."
