New Local Policing Officer For Kidderminster Rural Area

Kidderminster Rural Local Policing Team has been joined by a new local policing officer, PC Jayne Willetts.

She has 17 years service as an officer with West Mercia Police. The first nine years were spent at Telford and Shropshire before she became a local policing officer in Rubery.

In 2008 she received the Local Policing Officer of the Year Award for North Worcestershire Division. She also received a commendation in November 2009 for her commitment to local policing as part of the Rubery Local Policing Team.

In her new role PC Willetts will also be working alongside CSO Kate Easthope and CSO Jenny Hughes, and Sgt Nadine Pearse covering the villages of Chaddesley Corbett, Broome, Wolverley, Cookley, Rushock, Harvington, Shenstone, Stone, Blakedown, and Broome.

PC Willetts said: "I am very much looking forward to the new challenges ahead, and hope I can bring my experience to the area but also continue to build on the confidence and community engagement that has already been started."

The next PACT surgery will be at Wolverley Church Hall, Shatterford Lane, on Wednesday 7 April at 10am, where you will have the opportunity to meet PC Willetts and discuss any local issues you may have.
