Paramedic’s Personal Rucksack Stolen During Whitchurch Emergency
A paramedic's personal rucksack was stolen from a marked ambulance car while she tended an emergency patient in Whitchurch.
She was responding to an emergency in the area of St Mary's Street between 1.40pm and 2pm on Friday when her bag was snatched from the vehicle's passenger seat.
The small baby blue rucksack contained about £97, a pink leather wallet, an Apple iphone, driving licence, a pair of spectacles, bank cards and various paperwork.
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses. A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "The paramedic was dealing with an emergency patient at the time. While her back was turned, a thief grabbed her rucksack from inside the vehicle.
"If anyone has information to help identify the offender, please call Whitchurch police station on 101 or contact the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
