Pensioner Robbed By Fleeing Burglars In Wythall
Police are searching for two men who robbed a pensioner of his car keys and attempted to take his vehicle after they were disturbed while burgling a house nearby in Hollywood, Wythall.
Officers have arrested a woman in connection with both incidents and are appealing for witnesses.
Two men and a woman are believed to have broken into a property in Hollywood Lane at about 1.30pm on Tuesday (July 20) and stole items including PlayStation games, a Sony laptop and iPods.
While fleeing from the scene they approached a pensioner sitting in his car in Windrush Road. Two of the offenders got into the vehicle and demanded the ignition keys. The driver was threatened and a key fob was grabbed from him before the offenders got back out of the car and ran off in the direction of the Prince of Wales pub.
The stolen keys were later recovered as was some of the property thought to have been taken in the burglary.
The two men involved are white and in their late teens or early 20s. One was around 5ft 6ins in height, had dark hair and was wearing a black top and jeans with a number at the back. The other was taller and had short, dark hair. He was wearing tracksuit bottoms and carrying a plastic bag.
Detective Sergeant Ed Slough of West Mercia Police said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen two men fitting this description, along with a woman, in the area at the time or if they witnessed or know anything at all about the burglary or the robbery that took place afterwards."

The woman who was arrested shortly after the incident was bailed yesterday (Wednesday) pending further police inquiries.
