Petrol Station Burglary, Droitwich

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves stole a large amount of cigarettes from a petrol station in Droitwich last week.

Just after 3am on Saturday 13 October, a silver BMW drove onto the forecourt of Droitwich Service Station on Worcester Road and three men got out.  They smashed a large window at the front of the shop and gained entry to the counter.

They then stole a large quantity of cigarettes, which they carried off in builders bags. The car drove off in the direction of Stalls Farm Rd and was later spotted driving through Hagley.

PC Michael Haines, who is investigating the incident, said: "The burglary occurred in the small hours of Saturday morning and we are not aware of anyone seeing it take place; but we would like to hear from anyone who say any suspicious activity around the Droitwich Service Station in the hours or days before the crime.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw this silver BMW driving at speed towards the West Midlands."

PC Haines can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please quote the reference number 105s 13/10/12.
