Police Appeal Following Burglary In Newport
Police in Telford are investigating following a burglary in Newport. The incident occurred at an address on Shepherds Court on Monday 11 June.
Sometime between 6.15pm and 9.30pm, it appears that thieves broke into a shed at the rear of the property and stole a number of tools from inside.
They then used these tools to force open the patio doors at the back of the house and get inside.
Once inside the property it appears the thieves carried out a search of several rooms before stealing a number of items - including a black Samsung mobile phone and £50 in loose change - before making their escape.
The occupants of this house were out when the break-in occurred.
A police spokesman said:
"Before leaving the property the thieves picked up a set of car keys from the kitchen and then used the keys to steal a Ford Focus off the drive to flee the scene.
"The Focus is described a being a black, ST2 model with the registration number DS07 XZV.
