Police Appeal For Witnesses To Broseley Road Collision

Police are seeking witnesses to a road collision in which a man was seriously injured while walking in Broseley.

The 33-year-old was in collision with a silver Peugeot at the Brandywell Road junction with Cockshutt Lane, at around 3.30am yesterday (Sunday).

He was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford with serious head, back and leg injuries and later transferred to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham where his condition is stable.

Police have arrested three men in connection with the incident.  They have been interviewed and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Inspector Gavin Kinrade said today: "We are anxious to hear from anyone who witnesses this incident or has any information which might help our inquiries.  The number to call is Shrewsbury police station on 0300 333 3000."
