Police Family Appeal Following Ludlow Shop Theft

Police are trying to trace a man, woman and child who might be able to assist their investigation into the theft of a purse from a Ludlow shop.

The family were in the Smarti children's clothes shop in Corve Street at around 3pm to 3.30pm yesterday.

It's believed they may have information about the theft of a red leather Fat Face purse from a bag in the shop.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "It's possible they saw something which could assist us.  We would ask them to come forward, if anyone know's of their identity, to contact Ludlow police station on 101.

The purse contained about £10, a driving licence and bank cards.

The family were quite distinctive in appearance and appeared to have difficulty speaking English.  The man had several gold teeth and was of large build while the woman wore a head scarf, a silver skirt with ribbons,  had long dark hair and also had some gold teetch.

The boy was aged about seven, of thin build and had short dark hair.
