Police Get More Time To Question Georgia Williams Suspect
Police have successfully applied for more time to question the 22-year-old Telford man arrested on suspicion of murder following the disappearance of Wellington teenager Georgia Williams.
Detectives from the investigation team made an application at Telford Magistrates Court yesterday evening (Thursday, 30 May) and were granted a warrant of further detention to continue to interview the suspect who was arrested at a Glasgow city centre hotel early on Wednesday (29 May) and is now in custody in Telford. The warrant was granted for a 36-hour period which expires at 6.30am tomorrow morning (Saturday, 1 June).
Police are still appealing for information from anyone who saw or was in contact with Georgia after she left her home in Wellington at 7.30pm on Sunday night (26 May) and want to hear about any sightings of a silver Toyota Hiace 300 GS panel van with roof ladders, registration CX06 ASV, in particular between 5pm and 10.30pm on Monday night (27 May).
