Police Investigate Break-In In Leominster
Police in Herefordshire are investigating after a burglary in Leominster.
The incident occurred at the Community Centre on School Road sometime between 10pm on Tuesday 18 September and 8am on Wednesday 19 September.
Sometime overnight thieves approached the premises via a big car park at the back. It appears they then broke into the premises by climbing on a green wheelie bin to reach a small kitchen window at the rear and forcing it open to gain access to the building.
Once inside the building it seems the thieves carried out a thorough search before using a fire extinguisher to smash a window in the office door before climbing inside.
A police spokesman said:
"It seems the thieves searched the entire building before eventually stealing a number of items and making their escape.
"The items stolen include a Sony Vaio laptop computer, a black HPP computer and around £30 in cash.
"This is actually the second time this premises has been targeted in recent weeks and police are very keen to identify the offenders as soon as they can.
"Forensic work has been carried out at the scene while CCTV is also being studied in an attempt to identify the individuals responsible.
"Anyone with information about these break-ins, or who has seen anything suspicious near this building over the past couple of weeks, is asked to call police in Hereford as soon as possible on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 87S 190912.
