Police investigate Burglary At Worfield Golf Club
Police today appealed for information following a burglary at Worfield Golf Club near Bridgnorth.
Thieves broke in by smashing a window in the shop and stole a variety of golfing equipment including clubs.
It's thought they used a buggy to carry the stolen goods across the grounds to a vehicle on the country lane leading to Claverley.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "The burglary happened during the early hours of yesterday, before 5am. We are appealing for any information which might assist the investigation.
"We are also reminding people to contact the police if they are offered golf equipment for sale in dubious circumstances. If it's suspicious, don't be tempted - it could result in you being charged with receiving stolen goods."
Information to Bridgnorth police station on the non-emergency 101 number or contact the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
