Police Investigate Road Rage Incident In Ellesmere
A teenage driver had his car window smashed by another motorist during a road rage incident in Ellesmere.
The 19-year-old told police he was following a blue 4x4 vehicle through the town which kept slowing and then speeding up and also failed to indicate at junctions.
The teenager honked his horn but was then forced to pull-up by the other motorist who got out of his vehicle and began punching the driver's window.
When the window smashed, the man attempted to grab the teenager but then left without striking him, and drove off.
The incident happened at around 9.45am last Friday in Canal Way as the teenager was driving his blue Fiat Bravo. Police have appealed for witnesses. The man is described as being in his late twenties or early thirties, of stocky build, about six feet tall and was wearing a dirty black coat and jeans.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We are seeking witnesses to this incident. Please contact Ellesmere police station by calling the non emergency 101 number or call the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
