Police Investigate Suspicious Fire In Sutton Hill
Police in Telford are investigating following a suspicious fire in Sutton Hill.
The incident occurred at an address on Spring Meadow on Tuesday 31 January.
Sometime between 12pm and 1pm, while the occupant of the property was out, it appears that a fire was started deliberately in an upstairs bedroom.
It is not clear at this stage how the fire started as no-one was at home at the time the fire took hold. However, at least £500 of damage was caused as a result of this fire.
Officers investigating this fire are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about how the fire started, or who may know of any reason why the property was targeted.
In the past the house has suffered criminal damage and therefore police are keen to establish whether this fire is linked to any previous incidents.
Anyone who believes they may have information that could aid the investigation into this fire is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 - the force's new non emergency telephone number - or call 0300 333 3000.
Alternatively, please remember that information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you'd rather not get directly involved yourself.
