Replica Gun Stolen In Oswestry Area Burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a home in the Oswestry area in which a replica pistol was stolen.

The silver blank-firing Colt 38 pistol with a brown handle and black leather holder was stolen from an address in Ifton View, St Martins at the weekend.

Thieves broke into the house by forcing a window between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Saturday (Nov 12).  The replica gun is valued at £700.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "This burglary happened during the hours of daylight and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw anything suspicious in the area which might be connected.
