Safes Targeted In Wyre Forest Burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following four burglaries at businesses across Wyre Forest where safes were either stolen or attacked.

The first incident was at Toner Estate Agents, Carlton House in Worcester Street, Kidderminster, between 7.30pm on Thursday, 8 December and 8.30am on Friday, 9 December. Offenders broke in and stole a credit card reader and a safe containing cash.

The next incident was at about 3.30am on Saturday, 10 December, at Papa Johns Pizza store, Coventry Street, Kidderminster. Offenders broke in through the rear of the store and stole a safe containing a substantial amount of cash and caused about £200 worth of damage.

Between 12:15am and 10am on Sunday, 11 December offenders broke in to Wribbenhall Social Club in Spencer Avenue, Bewdley, and removed a safe containing cash and also took the front off a gaming machine which contained cash.

The latest incident was at The Card Factory, Worcester Street, Kidderminster, between 6pm on Sunday, 11 December, and 7.30am on Monday, 12 December. Offenders broke in through a rear store entrance in Vicar Street and stole a substantial amount of cash from a safe. The front door of the store on Worcester Street was also damaged.

Officers are looking into whether these incidents are linked and are eager to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity or unusual vehicles near any of these locations at the time of the break-ins.
