Shropshire Road Death Was Natural Causes

A post mortem has established that a 69-year-old man whose car crashed into a hedge near Bridgnorth, died from natural causes.

The finding means there will be no inquest into the death.

The incident happened on the A442 just outside Alveley at around 4pm on Saturday (Dec 3).  The man was driving a black Volvo V70 estate towards Kidderminster when it left the road at slow speed and went into a roadside hedge.   No other vehicle was involved.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "The post mortem showed it was a sudden death and not as a result of the road collision."
