Sneak-In Burglary At Oswestry Rugby Club

Thieves sneaked into Oswestry Rugby Club changing rooms during a training session and stole players' belongings worth more than £1,000.

Police are investigating the burglary which happened last night (Sept. 13) between 7pm and 9pm while players were on the pitch at the Park Hall based club.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "Someone sneaked in while the players were having a training session and helped themselves to a variety of property.

"We are appealing for any information which might help us trace the offender and urge anyone who can help to contact Oswestry police station by calling 101.

"Information can also be given anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."

Among the items stolen were  clothing, car and house keys, driving licences and bank cards, mobile phones, watches, wallets, headphones, cash, sports bags and a gold and silver wedding ring.
