Teenager Assaulted In Ketley In Telford
Police are keen to trace witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Telford as he made his way home from college.
The 17 year-old was walking alone when he was approached by two other males at around 3.10pm on Friday(27 January)along Waterloo Road in Ketley.
A verbal exchange took place between the individuals before the 17 year-old was assaulted by being punched to the face.
He suffered a cut to his eye and other facial cuts and bruises. The teenager visited hospital and the cut to his eye required gluing.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing to a group of school children who were stood nearby to come forward.
A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "At the time of the assault a group of pupils from Hadley Learning Centre are believed to have been stood nearby and possibly saw what happened.
"We are eager to trace these individuals, or anyone else who saw the incident taking place.
"If you have any information in relation to the matter then please come forward and speak to us."
