Teenager Assaulted In Unprovoked Attack, Evesham
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Evesham in a seemingly completely unprovoked attack.
On Saturday (16 June) at around 7.45pm, a 17-year-old was waiting outside Chancers bar on the High Street for a friend who had gone inside briefly.
Just after he was joined by his friend, he was approached by two men who both punched him in the face, knocking him to the floor and leaving him with cuts and bruises.
The men have been described as being white, in their 30s and both were bald.
PC Andy Farmer, who is investigating the incident, said: "This appears to be a truly unprovoked attack on a young man minding his own business. There was no interaction between either party and not a word was said by the offenders.
"The assault occurred at a busy time of the evening in Evesham High Street and we know there was a large number of people in the street at the time and some of them must have seen the attack take place - one woman is even thought to have confronted the two men.
"I would very much like to speak to those who saw the assault or anyone who recognises the description of the two men and I urge them to contact me."
PC Farmer can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please quote the reference 672s16/06/12.
