Three Charged With Murdering Man At Bridgnorth
Three people arrested at the weekend in connection with the death of Richard Sherratt at Bridgnorth have now been charged with murdering him.
Mr Sherratt was found dead in a first-floor flat in Old School Mews, off the High Street, on Thursday (14 June).
Three people who were arrested on Saturday (16 June) were this evening (Tuesday) charged with murdering the 57-year-old at Bridgnorth on 14 June and robbing him.
They are a man aged 50 from Tipton, Sandwell, another man aged 32 from Perry Barr, Birmingham, and a 25-year-old woman from Aston, Birmingham.
The younger of the two men and the woman have also been charged with perverting the course of justice.
They will all appear at Telford Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Wednesday). The court session starts at 10am.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Tonks, who is leading the murder investigation for West Mercia Police, said: "I would like to thank those who have come forward to help our inquiries and also remind people that anyone who believes they may still have information about Mr Sherratt's death can contact us on 0300 333 3000."
