Tools Stolen From Shrewsbury Auto Company

Tools worth thousands of pounds have been stolen in a burglary from business premises in Shrewsbury.

Burglars broke into Halfords Autocentre in Arlington Way between 5.30pm last night and 8.15am today.

Entry was gained by forcing windows causing about £300 damage.

A tool box with a large assortment of tools worth around £4,500 were stolen.  They included sockets, timing equipment, pick and file sets with green handles, a yellow multi-meter, a vacuum unit from Seat , spanners, ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, punches, mole grips and various air tools.

Police have appealed for witnesses and information from anyone offered such items for sale in suspicious circumstances.  Contact Shrewsbury police station on the non-emergency 101 number or the anonymous Crimestoppers independent charity on 0800 555 111.
