Tractor And Tanker Stolen From Farm In Letton
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the theft of a tractor and a tanker from a farm in Letton, near Hereford.
The incident happened between 7pm on Tuesday, 8 November and 7am on Wednesday, 9 November, when thieves broke through the gate of the premises in order to take the vehicles.
The blue, New Holland, R-reg, tractor and a stainless steel, 23,000 litre articulated tanker are worth about £20,000 in total.
The Local Policing Inspector for north Herefordshire, Insp Martin Taylor, said: "These are large items which are not easy to conceal. I would urge anyone who has seen similar vehicles suddenly turn up on land near them to contact us.
"The tanker also contained several thousand litres of water which may be disposed of at some point - so it would also be worth keeping an eye out for this.
"I would appeal for any drivers who were using the roads in and around Letton between the times of the offence - and remember seeing these vehicles - to get in touch."
Anyone with information about this incident can contact West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 37N 091111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
