Traffic Lights Damaged In Stourport

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a set of traffic lights was damaged in Lickhill Road, near the turning to Park Avenue in Stourport.

The lights are thought to have been vandalised sometime between 6pm on Tuesday (2 March) and 5.30am on Wednesday (March 3).

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We would like to hear from anyone that saw the lights being vandalised or thinks they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area during the times stated.

"The damaged lights will cost a lot of money to replace and will probably cause a lot of inconvenience to motorists whilst the repairs go ahead."

Anyone with information about the smashed traffic lights should call police at Stourport (quoting incident no 0014-N-030310) on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
