Two Arrested At Bridgnorth On Suspicion Of Drugs Offences

Two people have been arrested by police near Bridgnorth on suspicion of committing drug offences.

A 44-year-old man and a woman aged 32, were detained by officers at Sandpits Lane, Hilton shortly after 8.30pm last night.

They were taken into custody at Shrewsbury police station on suspicion of possessing crack cocaine, a controlled drug.

Their car was stopped as part of the police stop-search checks of suspicious vehicles.

They remain in custody for questioning and the car was seized while inquiries continue.
