Two Arrested Over Bridgnorth School Burglary

Two people were arrested today after a Bridgnorth school was broken into.

A 33-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at an address in the town just after 1am on suspicion of burglary at St Leonards Primary School in Innage Lane.

The man has been given conditional bail while police enquiries continue while the woman remains in custody at Shrewsbury police station for questioning.

Officers attended the school shortly before midnight after the security alarm sounded.  Entry had been gained through a window resulting in about £200 damage.  It's not thought anything was stolen.

An appeal for information about the incident has been issued.  Contact Bridgnorth police station on the 101 non-emergency number.
