Two Church Stretton Homes Burgled
Police are investigating burglaries at two homes in Church Stretton where property worth more than £2,500 was stolen.
Thieves smashed a patio window to break into a home in Chelmick Drive between 1pm and 6pm on Wednesday (Dec 28). They caused £400 damage and searched through rooms before making off with a Samsung laptop valued at £1,000 and various items of jewellery.
A bungalow was also broken into in Ragleth Road between 5.30pm on Tuesday (Dec 27) and 8am yesterday when a window was forced. The offenders searched the premises stealing three bracelets, a pearl necklace and four gold rings, including an engagement ring.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "We are appealing for any information which might assist our investigation of these two burglaries.
"If you saw anything suspicious which might be connected, call Ludlow police station on the non-emergency 101 number.
"We would also remind people to be on their guard, be security conscious and to report any activity - either people or vehicles - which strikes them as suspicious. We rely on people following their instincts by reporting any strange behaviour near homes and other property."
