Witness Appeal After Bag Snatched In Redditch

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman had her bag snatched from her in Redditch.

The incident happened at about 1.45am on Sunday, August 22. The woman and a friend had just left Fuse nightclub and were crossing Church Road, near the junction with Church Green West.

Two males attacked the woman, snatched her bag off her and ran off in the direction of Prospect Hill. Her friend tried to chase after the males and was also attacked.

The offenders are described as white, between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall and slim to average build. Both offenders were wearing black hooded tops and hats, one in black and one in red.

PC Mark Lazenby said: "Following the attack two men ran after the offenders and chased them down Prospect Hill.

"We would urge these men to call us as soon as possible as they may be able to help us identify the offenders.

"Anyone who saw the incident and thinks they may know who the offenders are should call us as soon as possible."
