Witness Appeal After Road Traffic Collision On A41

Police in Shropshire are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A41 at Hinstock, between Newport and Ternhill.

The incident happened just after 6.20pm on Wednesday, 25 January.

Three vehicles - a silver Ford Focus, a blue Honda Civic and a silver BMW 5 Series - were involved in the crash. The Ford Focus was travelling towards Newport and the other two cars were heading in the opposite direction when the collision happened.

The road was closed for around one hour and the three male drivers of the vehicles were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The 54 year old driver of the Ford Focus was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed to return to Shrewsbury police station at a later date.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have seen any of the vehicles involved travelling along the A41 prior to the collision itself.
