Witness Appeal Following Wyre Forest Burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following two burglaries in Wyre Forest at the weekend.

Offenders broke in through the rear of a home in Bewdley Road North, Bewdley, between 3.30pm and 5.15pm on Saturday, 17 December,

They caused about £500 worth of damage but nothing was stolen.

The second incident also happened on Saturday, 17 December, at about 5pm, in The Serpentine, Kidderminster.

The elderly homeowner was in at the time and having heard a noise went to investigate, only to be confronted by a male burglar. She asked him what he wanted and he ran off out of the rear of the property.

The male is described as white, in his 20s, slim build, about 5ft 6ins to 5ft 9ins tall and has short dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket.

DS Marc Sanders said: "It is highly likely that these two offences are linked and we are eager to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in these areas during the times stated."

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact DS Sanders on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 562-S-171211, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
