Witness Appeal For Malvern Car Break-Ins
At least nine cars were broken into in Malvern yesterday (Thursday, 12 January) causing over £1,000 in damage.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incidents, which are believed to have happened in the early hours of the morning.
Vehicles on Meadowsweet Court, Orchid Court, Court Road, Lavender Walk, Worcester Road and Old Hollow had their windows smashed and items including sat navs, DVD players and driving documents were taken.
PC Dan Underwood from Malvern police station said: "It is unusual to have such a large number of cars broken into in one night, so we are linking the offences to each other.
"We received reports of a man acting suspiciously in the area between about 4.30am and 6.30am, near to some of the cars which were broken into.
"I would urge anyone who saw this man - or anything which may help us to identify who is responsible for these crimes - to contact us."
Anyone with information about this incident can call PC Underwood on 0300 333 3000, quoting 67S 120112 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
