Witness Appeal For Worcester Ring Road Collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that occurred on the Worcester Ring Road yesterday (Thursday 31 July).
At around 1pm, a red VW Golf and two white Mercedes vans collided on the A4440 Temeside Way. The driver of the Golf, a woman in her 50s, was taken by ambulance to the Worcester Royal Hospital where she was treated for injuries to her chest and shoulders and is in a stable condition.
The occupants of the vans were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
The collision led to a closure of the A4440 between the junctions with the A38 Bath Road and the A449 to Powick and to widespread traffic congestion in the area until after the closure was lifted at 4.25pm.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Collision investigators are looking into the cause of the crash and they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."
