Witness Plea After Woman Robbed In Redditch
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old woman was robbed in Redditch last night (Monday, 13 August).
It happened at about 9.45pm under the railway bridge in Hewell Road.
Two men attacked her then stole her handbag and ran off in the direction of the town centre.
The handbag contained a set of house keys, a floral purse with a small amount of cash and a number of store, bank and ID cards in it, and a Blackberry Curve mobile phone.
The handbag and keys were recovered nearby but the purse and phone are still outstanding.
The victim was not badly injured and was checked over by paramedics at her home.
Detective Sergeant John Cashion from Redditch CID said: "We are eager to hear from anyone who was in the Hewell Road area last night and thinks they may have seen the robbery taking place."
