Woman Assaulted In Evesham
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman reported this week that she had been assaulted in a nature reserve in Evesham on Sunday 1 July.
The woman, who is in her 30s, has told officers that she was walking home in the early hours through the nature reserve at the end of Badsey Lane when she was assaulted by someone approaching her from behind who pushed her to the ground.
Detective Constable Donna Perry, who is investigating the incident, said: "Unfortunately, because the victim says she was assaulted from behind, she did not see her attacker and we do not have a description.
"I would like residents of Evesham, and in particular anyone living or spending time in Badsey Lane or the surrounding area, to cast their minds back to the night of Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July.
"Did you see anyone acting suspiciously or hear anything out of the ordinary? If so, please contact West Mercia Police and tell us what you know."
DC Perry can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
