Worcester Assault – CCTV Appeal

CCTV image of two men police would like to speak to about Worcester assaultPolice in Worcester have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to about an assault which happened on The Butts on Tuesday, 18 October.

A 19 year old man was left with cuts and bruises to the face in the attack, which happened at around 12.20am outside FUNK nightclub.

The teenager was sat outside the club with a female friend when there was a verbal altercation between them and a group of three men.

One of the men then came over to the pair and punched the teenage male numerous times to the face, whilst another man from the group joined in. The third man from the group was then seen trying to get the other two away from the area. The teenager's female friend was also pushed over in the assault.

PC Mandie Gregg from Worcester police station said: "The two victims were left extremely shocked by this completely unprovoked attack. At the time of the assault, they were both new students and this was their first time out in Worcester city centre.

"We are releasing images of two men we wish to speak to in relation to this assault in the hope that someone knows who they are.

"This was a cruel attack and I would urge anyone who recognises the men in this image to call us soon as they can."
