Worcester Murder Investigation To Feature On Crimewatch

The murder investigation into the death of Andrew Heath in Worcester last month is due to be featured on the BBC's Crimewatch tomorrow (Thursday 26 January, 9pm).

Mr Heath, aged 52, was killed in a fire at his flat in Chedworth Close, Warndon after a suspected arson attack at around 4am on Wednesday 14 December.

West Mercia Police is offering a reward of £10,000 for information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his death.

Presenter Matthew Amroliwala and a Crimewatch film crew were in Worcester last week filming a reconstruction for the programme, which will appeal for information from the public to help find his killer.

It will feature new information from the investigation that has not been previously released, including details on how the fire was started and people who were seen at the scene of the fire and have yet to be traced.

He said: "This is a great opportunity for our appeals for help from the public to seen by millions of people.

"I would like to thank the producers of Crimewatch for their help and all their hard work in recreating what happened at Andrew Heath's flat in the early hours of 14 December.

"I am urging everyone, particularly residents of Worcester and Warndon, to tune in and hear the new details we have on the case. It could trigger someone's memories of that night and provide that vital piece of information that could unlock this case.

"Don't forget that we are offering a £10,000 reward for information that will lead detectives to those who killed Andrew Heath."
