Wythall Police Station Reopening

Wythall Police Station is to be formally reopened next week at after being closed for several months for refurbishment.

Max Field MBE, chairman for Wythall PACT, and Andy Humphries, chairman for Alvechurch PACT will be officially reopening the police station at 11am on Wednesday 2 December. Also present will be North Worcestershire Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent David Spencer and invited guests.

The police station has been operational for several weeks but is being formally reopening following four months of refurbishments to update the station and make facilities compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act.

Alterations include a new front car park including parking space for people with disabilities, along with a ramp, a new front door and illuminated signage.

A new front counter with a hearing loop, consultation room and toilet facilities have been provided at the police station. These offer visitors easier wheelchair access and help people with impaired hearing and other disabilities.
