Because there's more to policing than fighting crime on the streets, we're working to deliver new and innovative technology to enable the future of policing. It's a dynamic area that's creating exciting opportunities for IT professionals who want to work at the forefront of technological innovation in the sector AND transform policing for the benefit of the communities we serve.

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police: Joining Forces in an Innovative alliance

Our alliance is already recognised as an innovative response to the pressures facing policing and is already delivering joined-up efficiencies and benefits across both policing areas.

Right now, we're exploiting the opportunities that ICT offers as an enabler of change and innovation, delivering both savings and more efficient and effective services that are better for everyone.

Innovating Information. Investing in the Future

We're clear about our ambitions for ICT and implementing a holistic approach that will deliver the right information, to the right people, at the right time, and in the right place so that police officers and staff can make well-informed decisions and deliver an excellent and value for money service to the public.

The Hard Evidence

Heralding a new operating model and driven by considerable investment, we're aiming to implement ICT services and solutions that introduce clear business thinking and best practice to our ICT approach to deliver transformational policing outcomes.

We're already building a brand new Control Room and investing in new leading edge technology, we're also leveraging the synergies of sharing the control room with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

We're also putting information right into the hands of our frontline officers with mobile technology that enables them to work more efficiently and effectively. And we're building on the success of Auto Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology and Body Worn Video devices to make policing both faster and safer.

Initiatives like Athena, a collaboration between nine forces, is also transforming productivity, allowing integrated management of intelligence, investigations, case preparation and custody management.

And with so much more potential to realise, this is where you come in!
