Citizens' Academies

Citizens' Academies enable people in our communities to develop an insight into and experience what their local policing teams do to protect them, their families, friends and colleagues from harm.

  • What are Citizens' Academies?

    Citizens' Academies provide individuals with access to and information about policing services through a ten-week taught course delivered to 25 students aged 18 or over.

    Local people are invited to join West Mercia Police's South Worcestershire Citizens' Academy, which begins at 6:00pm on Thursday, 11th January 2018. Over ten weeks the Academy will provide an insight into the work of local police teams, as well as partner agencies and other emergency services, highlighting West Mercia Police's commitment to protect people from harm and improve the quality of life for residents.
