North Worcestershire Citizens' Academy

West Mercia Police are offering people in North Worcestershire an exciting opportunity to learn about and experience the day-to-day workings of their local police force as part of its second Citizens' Academy.

This programme provides local people over the age of 18 with an insight into West Mercia Police's work to protect people from harm, and improve residents' quality of life.

Members of the public can support the work of the police and their partner agencies by enrolling in the ten-week Citizens' Academy programme, to be held at Kidderminster College from Wednesday, 13 April until Wednesday, 22 June 2016 (excluding 1 June 2016).

Police officers, police staff and supporting agencies/organisations will deliver presentations on key topics every Wednesday evening, from 6:00pm-8:30pm.

The closing date for applications is Monday, 29 February 2016.

  • What will you get from the course?

    Students completing the programme will graduate from the Citizens' Academy and their participation will be recognised with a formal ceremony.
