UPDATED: Arrests made as part of animal cruelty investigation
Police investigating reports of animal cruelty at a kennel in Herefordshire have arrested five people. The arrests are in connection with an alleged offence in May 2016.
On 28 May 2016, a 37-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from Hereford, were arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.
On 2 June 2016, a 37-year-old man from Abergavenny was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.
On 5 August 2016, a 53-year-old woman from Abergavenny was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.
On 12 August 2016, 45-year-old man from Powys was arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals.
All the arrested people have been bailed until the end of September while investigations continue.
This morning, five search warrants were executed at properties in Herefordshire and Abergavveny and five other people will be voluntarily interviewed as part of the investigation.
UPDATE: Friday 10 February 2017: All five people arrested have been rebailed until March 2017 while investigations continue.
