Team Priorities

In Wyre Forest we work extremely hard to ensure the communities of Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley are safe places. To that end we share a common purpose and key priorities across all seven safer neighbourhood teams:

Our purpose

  • Serving the public - Meeting local needs and making risk based decisions
  • Prevention of harm - Identify vulnerable victims and locations through intelligence and tackle the root cause of problems
  • Reassurance through enforcement - Secure intelligence and target offenders through every available tactic

Our priorities

  • Safer Children - Child sexual exploitation and Serious Organised Crime
  • Safer Homes - Domestic violence and burglary in people's homes
  • Safer Roads - Injuries and death on the road and travelling criminality

We know that by delivering on these we can reduce vulnerability, reduce crime and increase public confidence, improve our service and your satisfaction in the service we deliver, create a clarity of purpose, ensure we work effectively with partners in a cost effective way and create a confident policing team driven to tackle the highest harm.

Representatives from the Local Authority, Police and other partner agencies meet quarterly with members of the public to discuss issues and concerns that the public raise. If in the meantime you would like to discuss anything, please email your Local Policing Team at
