CCTV footage released following assault in Shropshire

Investigating officers following new lines of enquiry, have release CCTV image following an unprovoked assault in Shrewsbury town centre.

The incident is reported to have taken place outside The Dana prison between 4:20am and 5am on Sunday, 26 February.

A 30-year-old man was outside the premises when he was approached by two unknown men who have assaulted him before leaving the area. The victim suffered injuries to his thigh believed to have been caused by a bladed item. He was taken to Shrewsbury hospital where his wounds were treated.

Investigating officers would like to identify the individuals from the CCTV image as they may have important information or witnessed the assault.
