Tribute to man who died in a collision on the A4023 Coventry Highway in Redditch

The family of Oliver Paul Sellers has issued tribute.

Tribute to man who died in a collision on the A4023 Coventry Highway in Redditch.

Oliver Paul Sellers, or Ollie as he preferred, was a fantastic, caring and funny guy. He really did light up the room.

His life ended far too early when, through no fault of his own, he was tragically taken away following a serious car crash on Saturday 27th May 2017. It is with comfort and relief that he passed quickly and without pain.

The family has received great comfort from the hundreds of cards, messages and visits we've had. It has been a pleasure and inspiring to hear the stories, good times and laughs he gave to his family, friends and work colleagues alike.

His memory and legacy will live on through the way he touched so many people's lives in a positive way.

We all really loved Ollie and he will be badly missed every day. He will forever be our star in heaven looking over us.

The funeral will take place at Redditch Crematorium on Friday 16th June 2017 at 2:00pm. Please also join us afterwards in the White Hart Pub in Headless Cross to celebrate Ollie's life in the way he would have wanted: - having a great time, with friends and with a smile on our faces!

Family flowers only with donations going to the following bereavement charities: - Brake the Road Safety Charity and Touchstones Child Bereavement.

The female driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a red Seat leon, remains in a critical condition in intensive care.

Due to this, PS Stuart Allen and PC Diane Stevens from the Roads Policing Team at Bromsgrove are still very keen to hear from any witnesses able to assist them in their investigation.

In particular, we are looking to hear from any occupants of a black coloured Seat and a black coloured 4x4 or SUV type vehcicle, possibly a BMW or a Mercedes, travelling towards Redditch at the time of the collision.

We are appealing for these witnesses to make contact on 101 quoting incident 767-s-270517 with any information.
