Family tribute following Belbroughton collision

Gary Davies, aged 40, from Halesowen sadly passed away after being involved in a collision with a grey Ford Focus and grey Fiat Punto on Hackmans Gate Lane in Belbroughton on Sunday (11 June) at around 2:41pm.

Gary's parents, Gillian and Eddie, and his partner, Claire, have paid a loving tribute to him: "Gary was a very popular person, with a great sense of humour and was a bright and lively character.

"He had a real zest for life and loved nothing more than his beloved motorcycle, finding endless joy in both riding and working on it. Gary enjoyed partaking in track days and Moto Gymkhana, a time trial sport in which riders compete to manoeuvre through a course, restricted by traffic cones, in the shortest possible time.

"As well as motorcycles, Gary had a musical flair and played the drums, guitar and mouth organ. He could turn his hand to making anything that sprung to mind and was also a keen target shooter.

"Gary worked as an experienced electrical engineer, trading under Reliance Electrical and was also a trained CBT examiner, even being trained by a former police trainer."

"His sense of humour will be missed and he will truly be a sad loss to us all."

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and messages, particularly from Gary's 400+ friends on Facebook, at this sad time and have asked the media to respect their privacy to help allow time to come to terms with their loss.

West Mercia Police continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 406S of 11 June.
