CCTV image released following attempted robbery in Worcester

Officers investigating an attempted robbery in Worcester have released an image of a man they wish to identify.

Police would like to speak to the individual pictured on the right, as it is believed he may have important information about an incident that happened in Back Lane South on 24 April.

The incident happened around 1.30pm when a taxi driver was threatened by two men, reported to have been carrying a knife. The victim, a man in his 40's, suffered a cut to his thumb and eyebrow that required hospital treatment.

The two suspects are believed to have searched the taxi before leaving the scene in the direction of Moor Street.

A 15-year-old boy from Luton has been charged with attempted robbery and has been remanded to appear at court.
