Kidderminster man sentenced for indecent images of children

A man has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment after he was found in possession of indecent images of children.

Charles Cooper-Burge, aged 26 and of Felix Baxter Drive, Kidderminster was convicted on 22 May, 2017 after he pleaded guilty to six counts of making an indecent image of a child and two counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image. He was sentenced today (Friday, June 16) at Worcester Crown Court.

He has also been put on the sex offenders' register for an indefinite period and given a sexual harm prevention order.

DC James Griffiths from West Mercia Police said: "Despite his guilty plea, Cooper-Burge has absolutely no regard for the suffering of the children in the images he downloaded.  West Mercia Police and the Operation Safenet team are committed to tracking down and bringing to justice those who seek to obtain this kind of material."
