Kesh Ladwa recognised in leading national magazine for achievements in policing recruitment

Kesh Ladwa, Recruitment Manager for Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police scooped a prestigious award at the 2017 Recruiter Awards in London recently.

It is the first time a police service has won the In-House Recruitment Leader of the Year award, rightly recognising Kesh's hard work and his vision for a highly skilled and highly professional workforce that can compete in the market with the private sector.

The award recognises market insight, outstanding service and achievement by an employer's staff (directly employed) recruitment team.

Following on from the award, Kesh is interviewed in this month's edition of the industry leading magazine Recruiter.

In the article "Recruiting beyond the thin blue line" Kesh talks about the challenges and successes behind recruiting in public sector policing for Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police.

Kesh said: "The award recognises the work we have been doing in recruiting the very best officers and staff within continuing budget constraints. During the two years I have been in post we have reduced recruitment costs from £3 million to £1 million.....

"We have also progressed massively in recruiting officers and staff from under represented groups and communities. We recognise that police forces need to keep up with the private sector in order to attract top level candidates...."

Established in 2002, the Recruiter Awards gala is the UK's largest event for the entire recruitment community recognising outstanding achievements by agencies and in-house recruiters. Achievements in recruitment marketing and technology also are spotlighted on the night.
