UPDATE: Police appeal for witnesses following sexual assault in Worcester

Detectives are investigating an incident in which a woman was sexually assaulted in Worcester in the early hours of Sunday 2 July.

Between the hours of 1am and 1:45am, police were called to a report of a sexual assault on Bath Road. A woman in her 40s had been walking home from town, when she was approached from behind by a man on a bike. As the man got closer, he grabbed her inappropriately and attempted to pull her towards him.

The man rode off towards the Anchor public house on Diglis Road, where he was later seen outside.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may know who this man is. Should you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident 440S of 2 July.

*UPDATE: The suspect is described as being a white man in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and a medium build. He had short fair hair and was clean shaven, wearing a hooded tracksuit top and riding a mountain bike.
