Appeal for information after woman sexually assaulted in Stourport on Severn

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted on Tuesday 11 July.

A woman in her 50s was walking her dog along a footpath, between The Slad and Bigbury Lane at around 9:50pm when the suspect approached from behind and inappropriately touched her.

The suspect is described as a man around 5ft 3ins in height and of a slim build.  He was wearing dark trousers and a dark hooded top.

Inspector James Ashton, for West Mercia Police, said: "We take incidents of this nature very seriously and a robust investigation is underway. I would urge anyone who saw this incident or a man matching this description in the area at the time to please contact police or Crimestoppers."
