Appeal for witnesses to Redditch collision

Officers investigating a collision on Moons Moat Drive that happened on Sunday, 20 August are appealing for information and witnesses.

The incident happened around 2.30am, when a silver Proton taxi approached Moons Moat roundabout on the Coventry Highway and was in collision with the kerb and a safety barrier, before coming to rest in the trees in the centre of the island.

Fire and ambulance services also attended and a male passenger in their 30's was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where they remain with life changing injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or anybody with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 87s of 20 August and asking for PC 3690 Mounter, or PC 2556 Cook.
